Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Eastern Township and Blue Lavender 1 Day

1. Depart from Montreal at 8:00 am. We will first visit the vineyard - Le Cep d'Argent, which is located at Magog, you will enjoy the amazing view on the Magog River and one hour guided tour about the the vineyards with the taste of five different good wines. If the season allows, we will arrive at Stanstead, a city located on the Canada-United States border, and we will go picking and tasting blueberries in a Blueberry garden (picking and tasting strawberries or blueberries: estimated start from mid-July to mid-August ) (the availability of the berries is subject to change according to the season and the weather without notice.)

2. Then we continue our visit at Blue Lavender garden. Lavender is a plant widely used for the composition of perfumes and medicines. Originally cultivated in the Mediterranean, in Europe especially well known in Provence, this plant with purple flowers arranged in spikes was used by the Romans to keep the clothes and the bathroom perfumed since the Middles Ages while the Chinese exploited its medical function against diseases such as colds, abdominal pain, eczema and so on. Located also in the region of Magog, Blue Lavender is the only Canadian lavender producer with more than 32,000 lavender plants! This haven offers fragrance and natural beauty. A guided tour allows you to discover the distillery, the interpretive center, watch a short film on the history of Blue Lavender and to stroll through the beautiful fields. You could buy lavender products in the shop there.

3. After dinner, we continue to visit the Coaticook Gorge Park, where we can find the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North-America. Crossing the river at a height of 50 meters (164 feet), this attraction offers an exceptional view of the throat and enchanting landscapes typical of the Townships. The scenery of the virgin forest will let you feel the breath of nature and forget about the noise in the metropolis.

4. Return to Montreal in the evening.
